Best place for this tattoo - advice please!!?

23 yrs old and im a girl, I have been considering getting a tattoo for well over a year. Its not something I wanted to rush into, as unlike a piercing you cannot easily get rid of it if it bugs you after a while. I also didn't want to rush the process as I want to be 100% happy with the design I get on the area in question.

I want a green shamrock/clover with small coloured stars around it! Its what I have always wanted.Question is I am unsure where to get it, ankle, top/bottom of back, foot/wrist.

Anybody any advice/experience to help me make up my mind?

Also what kind of pain would be associated with the various areas etc?

I have a tattooist picked already, I have not been to see him yet as I want to have my mind made up as to where I will get the tattoo. He is a professional piercer also as I have been to him for piercings before!

Any photo galleries would be appreciated also, which maybe show similar to what I am considering.

if you are completely sure about the decision you could get it done on your lower back so even if you don't like it after a few years you can't see it and it can be easily covered. not sure of the pain in that area but apparantly it is more painful on the ankle as i was told by a friend of mine
