I just got a tattoo of a small rose on my ankle it is not scabbing but the red part of the rose has lost color?

I need to know if this is normal or do I need go back to the tattoo place. This was my first tattoo and I'm pretty worried.

If it's just looking milky and it's only been a week or so, it's probably still healing. Tattoos do funky things while they're healing, and you're really not going to know the final product until it's totally done healing in 2-6 weeks.

I've also had some issues with red taking longer to heal before, so keep in mind that the rest of your tattoo may be healed before the red is. It's a pretty common thing to happen. If your tattoo still looks funny in a month, month and a half, go talk to your tattoo artist.
