Can't invision my tattoo idea on my body-When was YOUR epihany?
i think i finally got my mom's approval for my first tattoo (i'm 18 by the way) after thinking about designs and ideas for over a year or two.
for a first, i'd like either an owl on my hip (maybe holding a peace sign or lavender) because I love owls and they put me in a trance when i hear them hoot-i LOVE it and it calms me.
OR
sakura in Japanese hiragana on my side (means cherryblossm) w/cheryblossoms and petals because hiragana was the first writing style i learned in japanese, and sakura was the first word i leaned in japanese, first place i ate sushi, and the name of that cardcaptors girl i used to watch (one of first animes). i truly enjoy the Japanese culture so i'd want that.
but I can imagine what they'd look like. if theyre permanent, i want to be in love with what i get, but i just cant picture them on me! it's frustrating.
have any of you had trouble invisioning a tattoo until the artist drew it? o tattooed it on you? when did "it's perfect!" hit?
I had my epihany sitting in a Pizza Hut eating lunch with my best friend. I had been debating on a tattoo for a while but didn't know what to get, it was raining & I looked outside and remembered one of the quotes I live by, "faith prays for rain, then carries an umbrella in the sun" and later that night I went and got an umbrella on my hip, 8 tattoos later, they just come naturally.
