are a black panther ,black leopard-same thing?

just out of curiosity are a black panther and black leopard the same thing??? because they come from the same family i believe, also which one do u find looks better? im planing on getting a tattoo and would like some curiosity on what ppl think .i personally think the black leopard looks more deeper black,kinda scarier,beautiful..but they pretty much look the same ,im looking at different pics so please help thank u!!

no because the black panther is just plain black fur well the black leopard hase faded spots that are kind of hard to see.
